People watching is always a favorite practice of mine. Sometimes I'll spend a couple of hours somewhere and just watch people live out their lives and if someone catches my eye, I'll focus on them until they leave my sight.
I was watching this woman just in front of me just before Haim was set to perform at Outside Lands 2014 and she was having a pretty animated conversation with her friend. It was her smile that caught me first and upon further observation, she didn't look much like the other women at the festival. That one brief hint of individuality I felt.
I waited for my moment, to have as much of her face as possible for this photo. This was the moment when Haim was seconds away from going on stage so she had most of head turned towards the stage and only turned her head to talk to her friend.
